One killed, seven injured in Kashmir highway accident

Srinagar, June 22 (UNI) At least one person was killed and seven others injured in a road accident at Khanabal on the Sriangar- Jammu national highway this afternoon.

Official sources said a Sumo car on way to Sriangar collided with a speeding tipper coming from opposite direction at Khanabal, about 45 km from here.

They said eight people, including driver of the car, were injured in the accident. The injured were admitted to hospital where one of them was declared brought dead. There was no tourist or Amarnath piligrim involved in the accident, sources added.
