Neeravari appointed Govt Chief Whip in K'taka Council

Bangalore, June 22 (UNI) Janata Dal (Secular) member H C Neeravari was today appointed the Government Chief Whip in the Karnataka Legislative Council.

Council Acting Chairman Sachidananda Khot announced in the House that an order to this effect was issued by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

All the members present in the Council joined the Chair in congratulating Mr Neeravari and Higher Education Minister D H Shankaramurthy led him to the Government Chief Whip's seat.

Mr Neeravari was elected to the Council from the Assembly constituency earlier this month.
