NCL officials released by kidnappers

Vijayawada, June 22 (UNI) The Nagarjuna Cement Ltd (NCL) General Manager U V Rama Raju and his personal officer Shaik Galib Saheb, abducted by six armed men on Monday night, were released this afternoon.

''The duo were let off unharmed by the kidnappers in Kothagudem in Khammam district,'' Krishna district superintendent of police M K Singh told UNI.

Mr Raju arrivied in the city this evening and was later taken to hospital by the NCL management.

It was not ascertained whether the NCL management had paid any ransom to the kidnappers as demanded by them for their release.

The two officials were kidnapped while they were supervising construction work of the factory at Kadimpothavaram.
