Naxals abduct 11 people

Jagdalpur, June 22 (UNI) Eleven people were abducted by naxals in two separate incidents in Chhattisgarh's South Bastar region, police said today.

Eight people were carrying 190 rice sacks in two mini-trucks from Dantewada district's Bijapur to Vasaguda yesterday when the ultras stopped the vehicles near Timarpur village.

Meanwhile, there were reports that naxals had also stopped a bus yesterday, which was heading from Vasaguda to here, and abducted three people. The abducted were identified as Bedkapoya, Soma and Durga Prasad, all residents of Vasaguda.
