Hewlett-Packard aims at imaging business in India

Kolkata, Jun 22: Leading technology solutions provider Hewlett Packard is targetting growth opportunities in the imaging and printing business in India.

"The analog and digital printing market in India is projected to grow to 17 billion dollars by 2008 from 11.5 billion dollars now. We see a great opportunity in the segment taking into account the fact that the country has emerged as an outsourcing hub by other countries and requires more personalised prints in future," Chadha said.

"With the growth of the specialised printing needs of the customers, we expect the number of prints with graphic designs to increase in the near term," he said.

Chadha was in the city to announce installation of the first state-of-the-art HP Indigo Digital Press 1050 in Eastern India at Anderson Printing House.
