New Delhi, June 22 (UNI) Jet Airways chief Naresh Goyal was today given a clean chit by the government after a four month-long inquiry.

The Home Ministry sources said nothing adverse was found against him from the security point-of-view.

The matter was referred to the ministry by the Civil Aviation Ministry in February this year when the Jet Airways was making bid to acquire Air Sahara.

Four of the five new directors, who were to form part of the Air Sahara Board, had already been given clearance by the Home Ministry.

Probe by various security agencies found nothing against Mr Goyal from the security point of view, the sources added.

They, however, said the security clearance was not in anyway related to the developments in the Jet-Sahara deal which has fallen through.
