Gehlot deplores law and order situation in Rajasthan
New Delhi, June 22 (UNI) Congress General Secretary and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today expressed serious concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Rajasthan.
Talking to newspersons, he said police had failed to nab till date dacoits who had abductors of eight people from Ranchhor village in Dholpur district 17 days ago.
''It is a classic case of the Government's failure to maintain law and order as the incident had occurred in the home district of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje,'' he said.
While demanding immediate steps to free the eight people from the clutches of the abductors, he recalled another recent incident in Balwanta Village in Ajmer district where four members of a Gujar family were killed and three seriously injured more than 50 days ago, but nobody had been arrested till date.
He said at least 8 to 10 ten such incidents had taken place in Ajmer, Jaipur and other districts, following the people were having a sense of insecurity.
