Delhi police sub-inspector arrested on rape charges

New Delhi, June 22: A Delhi police sub-inspector has been arrested for allegedly raping a Mumbai girl in Rohini area of north-west Delhi.

K B Jha, posted at Prashant Vihar crime branch, was arrested at 0330 hrs after the girl lodged a complaint, according to a senior police officer.

The girl, who hails from Mumbai, was living with her friend in a Rohini flat.

Jha has been suspended following a case registered against him at Prashant Vihar police station.
