CM's son named as PPCC general secretary
Chandigarh, Jun 22 (UNI) The Congress today reorganised its Punjab unit, including the state chief minister Amarinder Singh's son Ran Inder Singh as a general secretary.
Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Shamsher Singh Dullo, who retained his position, announced the new PPCC executive at a press conference here, stressing that the new executive has been elected on the basis of merit.
Justifying the inclusion of Ran Inder Singh among the 24 PPCC general secretaries, Mr Dullo said that Mr Ran Inder Singh had been an active campaigner of the party in Patiala during the elections.
Besides Mr Dullo as the president, the revised PPCC included 25 vice presidents, 24 general secretaries, 65 executive members.
Mr Dullo also announced the list of 24 District Congress Committee (DCC) members with 13 new entrants.
