Centre begins talks with ULFA representatives
New Delhi, June 22 : Home Minister Shivraj Patil today began talks with an eleven-member delegation representing United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) to prepare grounds for direct negotiations between the Centre and the north-east insurgent outfit for restoring peace in Assam.
The state government is being represented by state Chief Secretary S Sarwan.
Noted Assamese writer and interlocutor between the central government and ULFA, Indira Goswami, is also participating in the talks.
