Cabinet okays transfer of defence land for National Highway
New Delhi, June 22 (UNI) The Cabinet today approved the transfer of 3.83 acres of defence land near Central Ammunition Depot (CAD), Pulgaon worth Rs 6,14,575 to Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) Ltd.
The land will be utilised for improvement of Nagpur-Wadha-Pulgaon-Aurangabad-Mumbai road to the level of a National Highway. In exchange about 34.66 acres of land of equal value in village Bachharajpur, contiguous to CAD will be alloted, Finance Minister P Chidambaram told reporters after a Cabinet meeting here.
The development of the road would make the traffic smooth and ease congestion in Pulgaon city, Mr Chidambaram said.
