Bilateral investment pact with S Korea approved

New Delhi, Jun 22: The Union Cabinet today approved concluding a Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (BIPA) with South Korea aimed at increasing investment between the two countries.

This was announced by Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram after a meeting of the cabinet this morning.

Similar BIPA treaties have been signed with 58 countries since 1994.
