Businessman killed in Guwahati

Guwahati, Jun 22 : A small time businessman Brajen Deka was today shot dead by two unidentified extortionists in the heart of Guwahati city.

The incident occurred barely 300 meteres from a busy traffic point when two teenaged armed miscreants walked into a hardware shop and after some altercation shot dead the owner Brajen Deka.

The police suspected it as case of extortion. The victim died on his way to hospital. The incident has shaken the police and traders as it happened not only in broad daylight but in a busy centre before hundreds of people.
