BJP to hold Nat Executive of SC Morcha in B'lore
Bangalore, June 22: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold its two-day National Executive meeting of BJP SC Morcha in the city from June 24, with the demand for reservation to Scheduled Castes in private sector and minority educational institutes high on its agenda.
Briefing newspersons about the meeting here, Morcha State President Rajendra Varma said the meeting would discuss in detail the reservation to be provided to SCs in places, which had hitherto not been covered. The meeting would take up reservation for SCs in private sector and minority institutions in the country.
The meeting would also highlight its opposition for providing reservation to those SCs who had converted to Muslim or Christian faiths, he said.
Party senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu would inaugurate the meeting, while BJP President Rajnath Singh would address the concluding session.
