Bare facts of Apex Bank
Itanagar, Jun 22 (UNI) Altogether 27 major defaulters had been dentified by the Arunachal Pradesh Co-operative Apex Bank Limited to clear their dues, amongst which a local defaulter with a staggering amount of over Rs 17.88 crore was the highest debtror, according to bank report recenly.
However, the highest defaulter had repaid only Rs 22 lakh.
The report on action taken and suggestions in respect of the loan recovery of the said bank issued by former Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Papum Pare district Bida Gadi, the total amount pending as on June 5 last was nearly 73 crore and a half. Out of which Rs 14 crore, including bounced cheques, was only recovered.
It further said, among the bank employees, 15 defaulters involving a total loan of over Rs 3.43 crore was registered.
However, most of the employees were reported to have repaid them through their salaries.
