Army Commander calls on Governor

Bangalore, June 22 (UNI) Southern Command's General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lt Gen Aditya Singh called on Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi at Raj Bhawan today.

According to a release issued here the Army Commander discussed various issues relating to defence personnel including upgradation of Sainik Guest Rooms for the dependents of ex-servicemen who come for treatment at the Command Hospital Air Force Renovation of Retired Officers Transit House at the Rajendra Singhji Institute and construction of Red Cross Home.

The Army Commander was accompanied by Major General B Sivasankar, General Officer Commanding Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka ad Kerala (ATNKK) area and Brigadier Clement Samuel, GOC Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area.

Lt Gen Aditya Singh would also visit various Army Units including the Headquarters Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area during his five-day stay in the city.
