APSRTC bus burnt by naxals, say police

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, June 22 (UNI) A bus belonging to the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation was set ablaze allegedly by naxalites last night near Edrabor in Konta tahsil in Chhattisgarh's Dantewara district.

Police sources said a mob of about 50 CPI(Maoist) naxalites asked the passengers to disembark and set ablaze the bus plying on Jagdalpur-Hyderabad route after breaking the diesel tank.

A complaint was lodged in this regard at Edrabore police station saying the miscreants also looted few passengers of their belongings.
