Hyderabad, June 22 : A Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court is likely to pronounce its verdict after 1415 hrs today on the single judge verdict quashing the notification for the local body polls in the state.

The specially constituted Division Bench comprising Chief Justice G S Singhvi and Mr Justice G V Sitapati Rao heard the arguments of Advocate General C V Mohan Reddy appearing for the state government and the State Election Commission (SEC) and the Petitioner Counsel S Ramachandra Rao despite the non-availability of the judgement copy quashing on June 19 the notification for local bodies.

The Bench sought a copy of the judgement, running to about 150 pages, when it commenced hearing this morning.

However, as balance of convenience, the Division Bench consented to hear the arguments in the case.
