50-member Indian squad for Asian Junior Athletics Championship

New Delhi, June 22 (UNI) A 50-member strong Indian squad, including 23 women, will represent the country in the 12th Asian Junior Athletics Championship, to be held at Macau (China) from July 15 to 18.

Athletic Federation of India (AFI) secretary Lalit Bhanot said today that the relay squads -- both men and women -- would undergo a confirmatory trial at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on July 6 and 7.

He added that those athletes who fail to show good performance may be excluded from team.

The Indian contingent is expected to leave for Macau on July 13.
