Two members of a family from Jaipur killed in road mishap

Amritsar, Jun 21 (UNI) Two persons were killed and seven others injured when the jeep in which they were traveling collided head-on with a truck near Chauhan village on Sher Shah Suri marg in Majitha police district today, police here said.

The deceased were identified as Surinder Sharma and his son-in-law Sudhir Sharma. The injured included Mrs Nirmala Sharma, wife of Surinder Sharma and other members of the family besides the jeep driver Ramesh Chander.

The family belonging to Jaipur was on its way to Amritsar. The police has registered a case against the truck driver who is absconding.
