Select Non-ferrous metal price falls on poor industrial demand

Mumbai, June 21 (UNI) Select non-ferrous metal price fell on poor industrial demand along with London Metal Exchange, traders at the metal exchange today said.

The ferrous section: remained almost steady on moderate demand while that of brass utensils went up by Rs 300 per quintal on lesser stock supply.

In non-ferrous section: aluminium ingots and zinc slab declined by Rs 100 each per quintal on increase of stock supply.

Tin slab and nickel cathode remained steady on moderate demand.

Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 32,500, copper utensils - Rs 26,000, brass utensils - Rs 18,500, brass cuttings - Rs 22,100, aluminium utensils - Rs 10,000.

Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 36,300, aluminium ingots - Rs 13,000, zinc slab - Rs 16,200, lead ingots - Rs 6,000, tin slab - Rs 455 (per kg), nickel cathode - Rs 1,050 (per kg).
