Rajasthan, MP Police conduct aerial search to hunt dacoits
Morena (MP), Jun 20 (UNI) In a bid to track down the dreaded Jagjivan Parihar gang, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh Police today conducted a joint aerial search over MP's Bhind and Morena districts and Uttar Pradesh's Etawah district.
During an aerial search yesterday, Rajasthan Police located the gang's camp but failed to nab the dacoits during an encounter last night because of lack of knowledge about the region's geography.
The gang had abducted eight persons -- one of them managed to escape later -- on June 4 from Tidawali village near Chambal river in Rajasthan. Later, the gang hid itself in the ravines in Madhya Pradesh.
In a bid to release the abducted, MP, UP and Rajasthan police had decided to work under a joint strategy. Under this decision, aerial searches were being carried out.
