Rain brings relief to coastal city

Vijayawada, June 21 : The drizzle, following a trough of low pressure developed over the West Central Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood, brought relief to the residents of the coastal city, who were reeling under severe hot and humid conditions for the last few days.

The cloudy skies welcomed the denizens when they woke up in the morning, which later transformed into drizzle.

The temperatures were hovering around 40 degree celsius and people, especially, school children, were put to considerable hardship.

Meawhile, Meteorological Department sources told UNI that under the influence of low pressure, rain or thundershowers are likely at many places over the coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours.
