Police foil sabotage attempt to blow up Bhadar Irrigation canal

Rajkot, June 21 (UNI) Timely action by the police prevented an attempt to blow up the Bhadar Irrigation canal near Panchpipala village in Jetpur taluka of the district.

According to the police sources, dynamite sticks were planted near the farm at Panchpipala village yesterday where the Bhadar canal was passing, which was timely detected by a farmer who immediately informed the Jetpur Mamlatdar and police.

Bomb Disposal and dog squads from here rushed to the place and defused the explosives, the sources said, adding that some miscreants did this act.

The miscreants planted the explosives an underbridge pillar which to blow up the canal, the sources said.

However, no one was arrested so far, the sources said and further investigations are on.
