'NDA fears on N-issue were diversionary tactics'
New Delhi, Jun 21: The Congress today said the NDA's petition to President A P J Abdul Kalam against the UPA government on the nuclear issue was an attempt at diverting people's attention from the ''total collapse'' of the opposition.
''The allegations are diversionary tactics'' to shift people's focus on the falling apart of the opposition, Congress spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan told reporters.
Replying to questions on the NDA petition to the President, she said the BJP was in the habit of making allegations against the government.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his government had convinced the people on its nuclear policy and the Indo-US deal and that ''is what we want,'' she said.
