Mexico make three changes for Portugal

GELSENKIRCHEN, June 21 (Reuters) Mexico coach Ricardo La Volpe made three changes to his starting lineup for the Group D match with Portugal today, the Mexicans needing a point to be certain of reaching the last 16 of the World Cup.

Mexico dropped Gerardo Torrado, who was on a yellow card, Zinha and Guillermo Franco. They brought in striker Jose Fonseca, plus Luis Perez and Francisco Rodriguez who are both likely to play in midfield.

Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, with qualification alredy assured, left out all five players on a yellow card.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Nuno Valente, Deco, Pauleta and Costinha were all left on the bench.

Helder Postiga makes his first start of the tournament as the sole forward.
