Mehbooba condemns attack on Amarnath yatri bus in Kashmir

Srinagar, June 21 (UNI) President of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a partner in the coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir, has strongly condemned the attack on a bus at Ganderbal in which 5 yatries sustained injuries.

PDP president Mehbooba Mufti in a statement here today, said these dastardly acts need to be condemned at all fronts.

Describing the attack on pilgrims as ''frustration of such elements who are inimical to peace and smooth flow of yatris,'' she said such acts also seem to disrupt the influx of tourists, thus adding hardships to the people affiliated with the tourist trade.

She said that the elements behind such acts do not want peace and normalcy to return to the trouble-torn state and are thus hell-bent to resort violent methods to derail the peace process and normalcy.

She also made a firm appeal to the peace loving people to uphold the traditional hospitality and Kashmiriyat.
