Mahindra introduces Champion Alfa 3-wheeler in Punjab
Chandigarh, June 21 (UNI) Mahindra and Mahindra, the leader in the three wheeler 0.75 ton category, today unveiled its Champion Alfa 0.5 tonne three wheeler cargo carrier here.
The launch here will be followed by the introduction of the vehicle in Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala and Badsar (HP).
The Champion Alfa was launched in August last year. Since then the vehicle has evoked a good response in various markets including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
The Champion Alfa is the new smaller load variant (0.5 tonne) of the successful Mahindra Champion, a 0.75 tonne 3-wheeler in the cargo and passenger ranges. Champion Alfa offers many unique features along with a powerful air-colled direct injection diesel engine, which provides more power, better driving performance and extra fuel economy due to superior mileage.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Gaurav Saxena, Zonal Manager-Sales, Automative Sector, said that in Punjab the 0.5 tonne diesel cargo three wheeler vehicle category is expected to be over 6000 vehicles per year. Mahindra and Mahindra is confident of capturing 15 per cent to 20 per cent of the market share in Punjab and the rest of India as well in the current financial year, he added.
