Maharashtra bags Overall Team Championship title

Bangalore, June 21 (UNI) Budding swimmers from Maharashtra (307 points) bagged the Overall Team Championship, while Ishan Kulkarni of Maharashtra and Arhatha Magavi of Karnataka were adjudged Overall Best Swimmers in the 23rd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship for Boys and Girls, which concluded here today.

S Abhinav of Karnataka (26 points) and Kulkarni, with 28 points and four golds, were declared Best Swimmers from Boys Group III and Group IV respectively.

In the girls' section, Arhatha (28 points, Group III), who bagged four golds and created two New Meet Records, and Rujuta Bhatt of Maharashtra with 30 points (Group IV) were declared the Best Swimmers.

West Bengal (70 points) and Maharashtra (83 points) bagged the Team Champions title from boys Group III and IV respectively, while in the girls' section, Maharashtra lass won the Team Championship title in both the groups.
