Karunanidhi announces ex gratia

Chennai, Jun 21 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today announced an assistance of Rs 25,000 to the mother of person, who was trampled to death by an elephant during a pilgrimage to Sabarimala on January 12, 2004.

The assistance was sanctioned from the Chief Minister's Public Relief fund, an official release here said.
