India gifts ambulance to a college in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, June 21 (UNI) Indian Ambassador to Nepal Shiv Shankar Mukherjee today handed over an ambulance worth Rs 12,54,426 to Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal, here.

The ambulance, with an anti-kid stain free vinyl flooring with fittings like PA system, provision for pure drinking water and AC/DC supply Suction Machine, Ventilator, Patient Monitor, will provide health care services to people, especially patients of burn cases here and its adjoining areas, if necessary, at their doorstep, the Indian Embassy, in a release said here today.

As a friendly neighbour, Government of India through the India Nepal Economic Co-operation programme, works with Government of Nepal in developmental projects and focuses on three key sectors, namely health, education and infrastructure, it added.

A total of 138 projects are currently under implementation in 61 districts at a cost of Rs 1800 Crores(Nepalese).
