Hoax call held Delhi bound flight in city airport
Kolkata, June 20 (UNI) A hoax call claiming a bomb had been planted in a Delhi bound flight of Indian triggered panic at the airport here tonight, official sources said.
The airport authorities received an anonymous call around 1920 hours saying a bomb would go off in the Indian flight IC 402.
Incidentally, the aircraft that was to be operated for the flight was yet to arrive from Delhi.
When the aircraft from Delhi landed here, the authorities immediately asked the passengers to disembark and carried out a search operation, which yielded nothing.
Search of the baggage and luggage of the Delhi-bound passengers from here were also going.
