Mumbai, June 21 (UNI) Godawari Power&Ispat has disclosed that the first phase of the expansion project has been commissioned and the commercial production has started with effect from January this year.
A release here said that the first phase comprised an increase in capacity of sponge iron from 1.05 lakh mts to 2.35 lakh mts, captive power generation from 18 MW to 28 MW, steel billets from 150,000 to 250,000 mts and new capacities for manufacturing of ferro alloys (16,500 mts) and steel wires (60,000 mts) per annum.
Further, it informed that the second phase of expansion project for increase in capacity of sponge iron to 4.95 lakh mts, captive power generation to 53 MW and steel billets to 4 lakh mts is progressing as per schedule and the same is expected to be completed by March next year, the release informed.
Meanwhile, the companys first seveb MW CDM power project from Waste Heat Recovery was registered by CDM Executive Board during the quarter.
It has also filed an application for the additional 10 MW WHR power projects for registration, which is under various stages of registration process, the release added.
