Four days CBI remand for Mattoo remand of others extende

Srinagar, June 21 (UNI) A local court today sent former Jammu and Kashmir minister Raman Mattoo, an accused in the sex racket, case to four days Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) remand.

The court also extended the remand of three other accused, including a senior police officer and a woman kingpin involved in the racket.

Matoo, a sitting Member of Legislative Assembly, from Habba Kadal constituency in the old city, was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) by the CBI at his residence this morning.

The CJM after hearing the arguments sent Mattoo to four days CBI remand till June 24.

Mattoo was arrested by the CBI from his Gupkar house while another minister and sitting Congress MLA from Dooru in south Kashmir Ghulam Ahmad Mir was taken into custody at New Delhi yesterday.

Mir was later given two days transit remand by a local court in New Delhi. He is likely to be brought here this afternoon.
