Dr. Reddy's Lab launches generic version of Proscar drug in US

Mumbai, June 21 (UNI) Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd today launched the generic version of Merck&Co's Proscar drug for enlarged prostrates in the US markets.

Announcing this, the company's release said it had launched the drug on June 20 after Israel's Teva Pharmaceutical Industries won a six-month US marketing exclusivity for finasteride 5 mg tablets, the chemical name of Proscar.
