Discontented JD(S) Secretary General Mahima Patel resigns

Bangalore, Jun 21 (UNI) Discontented Janata Dal (Secular) Karnataka Unit Secretary General Mahima Patel, MLA today tendered his resignation to the post in protest against non-inclusion of his name in the Cabinet expansion effected today.

Mr Patel submitted his resignation to the Party Supremo H D Deve Gowda immediately after swearing in of eight Cabinet Ministers earlier in the day.

According to party sources, Mr Gowda, after receiving the letter, invited Mr Patel, son of former Chief Minister late J H Patel and assured him of considering his name during next Cabinet expansion.
