Dinesh Mongia fails with bat, Leicestershire reach 332 for 9

London, June 21 (UNI) Dinesh Mongia had a disappointing outing with the bat and the Punjab southpaw contributed just seven even though his side Leicestershire reached a decent 332 for nine against Gloucestershire at Grace Road.

In their quest for a second Championship victory of the season, Leicestershire, in fact, had a horrible start as they lost both the openers with the score reading a mere 17 and Mongia lasted 10 balls for seven, that included a four.

Hylton Ackerman (58) and Tom New (52) hit half-centuries to bail the side out but Leicestershire were in trouble again as three wickets fell in as many overs shortly after lunch.

John Sadler then appeared as the saviour, hitting a season's best 82 with 13 fours and two sixes as the side crossed the 300-run mark.
