Aptech forays into aviation training
Mumbai, June 21 (UNI) Learning solutions company Aptech has made a foray into the fast growing aviation training arena by acquiring Pune-based Avalon Aviation Academy, a centre of which was inaugurated here today.
The academy provides training to cabin crew, ground staff and flight dispatchers on various aspects of hospitality.
Aptech has also roped in beauty queens and fim actors - Zeenat Aman and Diana Hayden - to teach students about confidence building, poise, grace and comunication skills, at the academy.
Incidentally, Zeenat Aman had worked with an airlines in her younger days.
Besides, singer Sharon Prabhakar will also be a faculty in the academy.
On the occasion, Aptech Chairman Rakesh Jhunjhunwala said the company aspires to provide training in more verticals, other than IT and multimedia.
Aviation and hospitality are attractive career options and Aptech has adopted a partnership model to tap opportunities in these fields.
Company's CEO and MD Pramod Khera said Aptech plans to take the academy to major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Bangalore and intends to establish 15 centres this year. The academy already has two centres in Pune.
Academy's head Preeti Malik was also present on the occasion.
