16 Judges For Calcutta HC

New Delhi, Jun 21 (UNI) As many as 14 Judges and two Additional Judges have been appointed to Calcutta High Court, it was announced today.

The Judges: Debasish Kar Gupta, Nadira Patherya, Ashim Kumar Roy, Biswanath Somadder, Dipankar Datta, Sanjib Banerjee, Prabuddha Sankar Banerjee, Tapan Mukherjee, Arunabha Basu, Kalidas Mukherjee, Manik Mohan Sarkar, Rudrendra Nath Banerjee, Tapas Kumar Giri and Kishore Kumar Prasad.

The appointments by President A P J Abdul Kalam in that order of seniority will take effect from the day the Judges assume their respective office, an announcement said.

The Additional Judges are Partha Sakha Datta and Prasenjit Mandal, the announcement said.

Appointed in that order of seniority, each will have a two year term from the day they assume their respective office, it said.
