Melbourne, Jun 20 (UNI) Playing down Shane Warne's return from county cricket later this month, his representatives here assured his fans it's just a regular shoulder check-up and ruled out the prospect of any surgery.

Dispelling rumours of a shoulder surgery after reports that Warne would leave Hampshire to return to return here later this month, the leggie's personal assistant Helen Nolan said Warne would have his right shoulder checked by surgeon Greg Hoy.

''It's just a precautionary check-up. He had some problems in Bangladesh (soreness, in April), but there's no problem and he's definitely not having surgery,'' Helen was quoted as saying by an AAP report.

Warne is seen as crucial to Australia's chances of regaining the Ashes this winter and many in Cricket Australia were not happy with his decision to play county cricket, and thus increasing the workload on his already strained shoulders.

''The Age'' quotes a CA spokesman as saying that the Board was monitoring the workload on each player and claimed Warne had benefited from not playing one-day internationals.

''This is an example, where he's skipping some Twenty20 matches to return home. Heavy workloads are more of an issue for the guys who play all three forms of the game,'' he added.
