Veteran astrologer, scholar passes away

Chittoor,(Andhra Pradesh) June 20(UNI) Well known astrologer, philosoper and scholar P Gopalakrishnaiah died here following prolonged illness, according his family sources.

He is urvived by five daughters.

The family sources said Krishnaiah had served in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD) for 25 years in different capacities. He won a number of awards and appreciation during his service.

He had tranaslated the 'Bhagavad Gita' from Sanskrit into Telugu and had also written books on astrology and philosophy, the sources said.
