Two missing US soldiers in Iraq killed-official
BAGHDAD, June 20 (Reuters) Two missing U.S. soldiers in Iraq have been killed and their bodies were found, the spokesman for Iraq's Defence Ministry said today.
''The two soldiers were killed and they were found in Yusufiya near an electricity plant,'' Major General Abdul Aziz Mohammed told a news conference in Baghdad.
He did not say when the soldiers were killed or when their bodies were found.
The soldiers went missing on Friday after insurgents attacked their checkpoint near Yusufiya, an al Qaeda stronghold south of Baghdad. A group linked to al Qaeda in Iraq yesterday said it had abducted two US soldiers near Yusufiya.
