Sweltering heat and humidity continue to hit normal life
Jamshedpur, Jun 20 (UNI) High humidity along with sweltering heat continued to affect normal life in steel city for last one week.
The East Singhbhum district authority has ordered all schools to close down soon after it reopened on June 12 after summer vacation.
But after two days, deputy commissioner N M Kulkarni asked the school authorities to extend the vacation till June 25.
The maximum temperature was now hovering around 39 to 40 degree Celsius for the past few days along with high humidity of 60 to 80 per cent thus causing severe discomfort. However, there has been rains in some places.
The local MET office, has predicted rain or thundershowers in the evening.
