SW Monsoon to revive in AP
Hyderabad, June 20 (UNI) Ending a weak phase, the Southwest Monsoon in Andhra Pradesh is likely torevive in the next two to three days, a top weather official today said.
''Conditions are favourable for the Southwest Monsoon to strengthen over Andhra Pradesh in the next two to three days,'' Hyderabad Meteorological Office Director Satya Kumar told UNI this morning.
Meanwhile, people of the state capital woke up to sharp showers, which inundated low-lying areas causing inconvenience to commuters.
One or two spells of rain/thundershowers were likely in parts of the twin-cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
Isolated rain/thundershowers may occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema.
Isolated rain occurred at all three regions of the state. Chief amounts of rainfall (cm) during past 24 hours were: Tadipatri (5.5), Hindupur (5), Penugonda (4) and Khammam (3).
