Seven crude bombs found in Amritsar
Amritsar, June 20 (UNI) Seven more crude bombs were found during digging of land where a steel factory was once located in the suburban town of Chheharta today.
The crude bombs were unearthed this afternoon during the digging process by the labourers on the factory land which was now being levelled to cut out plots for sale, Senior Superintendent of Police S S Srivastva said. Six similar bombs were found at the same site on June 17.
The factory had been lying closed for some years and the bombs seemed to have been part of very old scrap used for steel manufacturing, he said.
Police had taken the bombs in its possession and their exact nature and intensity would be worked out by Army experts later, the SP said.
