'Saanwariya' to be lyricist Sameer's 500th film

Mumbai, June 20 (UNI) Lyricist Sameer, who completes 25th year of his career as song writer in Bollywood this year, has bagged his 500th film - Sanjay Leela Bhansali's new ambitious project - 'Saanwariya'.

'Saanwariya', which is the most awaited film of 2007, stars debutants Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, the children of Rishi and Anil Kapoor, respectively.

So far, Sameer has written 5,000 songs, including private albums.

He has written for leading music directors Nadeem-Shravan, Anand-Milind and latest for Himesh Reshammiya, including the song 'Jhalak Dikhlaja'.

I have worked with legends like B R Chopra and even newcomers like Nikhil Advani, Sameer said. ''Apart from my hardwork, my father, late Anjaan's legacy helped keep me going in the industry,'' he added.
