Rupee declines by three paise; closes at Rs 45.95/USD

Mumbai, June 20 (UNI) The Indian currency today grew weak by three paise to close at Rs 45.95/US dollar, as compared to the previous close of 45.92/94/US Dollar.

Earlier, rupee opened at Rs 45.91/92/US dollar and in the mid-morning session traded at the same rate.

The six-month forward premia was down at 1.11 per cent and the one year premia was flat at 1.22 per cent.

The RBI fixed the reference rate at Rs 45.91/USD today.

Rupee also fared well against other currencies: Rupee vs Euro was up at Rs 57.69 (57.71), against pound sterling it also it was up at Rs 84.55 (86.67) however against yen it down at Rs 40.04 (39.70).
