Poll notification cancellation a conspiracy, says Narendra
Hyderabad, Jun 20 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Rural Development A Narendra today saw a 'conspiracy' to subvert the Panchayat Raj elections, alleging that it was the handiwork of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking to newspersons here after meeting Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee Chief K Keshava Rao, he said the TDP chief had filed a petition in the court after the election notification issued by the State Election Commission (SEC) on alleged irregularities in the voter's list, anticipating his defeat.
Expressing confidence that the polls would be held as per schedule issued by the SEC, Mr Narendra opined that ''court should not interfere in the election process after the issuance of notification.'' He said 90 per cent seat sharing disputes between the Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samiti had been solved and the remaining disputes, ''technical in nature,'' would be sorted out tommorow.
The two parties have differences over seat-sharing in two districts.
