Police official transferred on disciplinary ground

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Jun 20 (UNI) The Deputy Superintendent of Police K Phrudvi Narayana of Narasaraopet in the district had been transferred at the behest of the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission.

Ravi Prakash of Mahabubnagar district will replace him.

Mr Narayana has not been given any posting but directed to report at the state police headquarters in Hyderabad.

Mr Narayana had incurred the wrath of the opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP). He has weathered many a political storm. He was admonished by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in the TDP worker Anjababu murder case .

He alleged that the First Information Report(FIR) sent by him was misplaced in the magistrate court. The magistrate reported to the High Court that the FIR had not been received in his Court. The High Court observed that Mr Narayana had caste aspersions on the magistrate court.
