Perot Systems to open IT centre in Coimbatore

Chennai, June 20 (UNI) The Texas-headquartered Perot Systems Corporation today announced expansion of its resources and facilities in India with the opening of a new Information Technology centre in Coimbatore soon.

Announcing this at a press conference here today, Perot Systems' president and CEO Peter Altabef the Coimbatore operatons would initially handle expansion business from the company's worldwide BPO operations.

The new 20,000 sq ft centre in the Textile city would be a two-storeyed structure that would accommodate 375 seats across three shifts at its opening, bringing the company's total India-based employees to more than 5,000.

'"Our new facility in Coimbatore will help us meet growing client demand worldwide for efficient delivery of the high-quality services produced by Perot Systems associates in India. Perot Systems continues to grow and gain the reputation as the most trusted provider of services in the information technology industry.

Our expansion in India is an important part of that growth", he added.

"Initially, services provided from the new facility would include processing highly complex and knowledge intensive, high-volume, high-value transactions for our healthcare and life insurance", Mr Altabef said.
